In our real estate market, we’re seeing multiple offers on many houses. I’m sharing a few tricks to help you win when competing for the perfect home.

1. Offer a shorter inspection period. This can be appealing to a seller because their house will be off the market for less time if something goes wrong and they must re-list. You can waive the inspection period altogether, but we highly recommend getting a home inspection done.

You could waive the inspection period, but we don’t recommend that.

2. Offer a quick closing date. If you’re in a position to close quickly, your offer is much more likely to stand out against another.

3. No home sale contingency. If you have a property to sell before buying a new one, it can be very difficult to make your offer stand out when competing with buyers who don’t have this contingency. This is not an easy position to be in, and it needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. What to do in this situation will depend on other factors.
