So, we’ve negotiated the contract, made it through the inspections and appraisal, and the title work is finally clear—it’s time to close! What does closing entail, though?
Closing day is very exciting. Typically, you, your agent, the other agent, and their client will all gather at a title company to meet with either an attorney or closing professional who will review the important closing documents. If it’s a cash deal, you can expect to sign a deed that will convey the property and just a few other forms before you either hand over or receive the keys to the home. If there’s a lender involved, it usually takes around an hour to sign all the necessary supporting documents before keys are exchanged.
After everything is signed and funded, the closing is complete and you’re ready to move!
